Second - The well-being of the greater Hobe Sound Community can affect all residents in terms of real estate values, tax rates, and public policy issues. It is important to all residents that Hobe Sound be a healthy community that is mindful of its most needy.
Third - The Chest is a qualified and prudent dispenser of your charitable dollars with its low level of cost more than covered by board contributions. We carefully consider the needs of all local social service agencies and educational programs. In addition, Visiting Committees carefully monitor our grantees to guarantee that your dollars are well spent.
Fourth - Every cent you donate to the Chest goes directly to work right here in Hobe Sound funding vitally important social service organizations. Our modest administrative expenses are more than underwritten by grants from our Board of Directors.
Fifth - We try to discourage independent solicitations from our grantees, in an effort to keep you from being overwhelmed by requests for donations. A gift to the Chest meets your responsibility to numerous Hobe Sound organizations.
