The Need
Once again, the Chest is facing a major challenge. Our agencies are being squeezed between increased demand for their services and reduced income due to state budget cuts and lower private fundraising expectations. As the leading funder of services in Hobe Sound, our help will be needed more than ever before.
Background
It has long been understood that the well-being of the greater Hobe Sound Community can affect all residents and businesses in terms of real estate values, tax rates, and public policy issues. It is important to all residents that Hobe Sound be a healthy and prosperous community. The Community Chest has a responsibility to assure that social service needs in our town are met.
The Results
In 2003, the Chest introduced a Business Leadership
Program that has continued to produce great results! Fifty-six
businesses contributed in 2010, and 42 of them contributed at the
Business Leadership ($500 and above) level.
